TVP Sports Club Releases Draft Constitution for Member Feedback
Tom Voyle Park Sports Club has released a draft version of its updated constitution, inviting all members to review and provide feedback ahead of a Special General Meeting later this month.
The update comes in response to the New Zealand Incorporated Societies Act 2022, which introduces new legal requirements for governance, membership, and dispute resolution. The revised constitution aims to ensure the club remains compliant while continuing to reflect the values and practical needs of its diverse sporting community.
? Feedback Deadline: Tuesday 20 August
? Special General Meeting: Saturday 23 August (details to follow)
Club committee members say the draft includes clearer processes for decision-making, improved transparency, and provisions that support inclusive and fair participation across all codes.
“This is a chance for our members to help shape the future of the club,” said Jacqui McCann. “We’ve worked hard to ensure the draft reflects both the legal requirements and the heart of our community. Now we want to hear from you.”
